Using the SIM Card

Using the SIM Card for the first time

Power off your phone
Insert your new SIM card
Power on your phone
Ensure that roaming is turned on your phone.
Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.

Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside covered countries will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to stop functioning.

Receiving calls

People anywhere in the world can dial your UK or French number directly to reach you, for example, +44774132 12345 or +33674132 12345. The local number is especially useful for booking cabs, hotels and restaurant reservations.

Making local calls

For the purposes of this card, local calls include calls to any country mentioned under “Coverage”, from any country mentioned under “Coverage”. To make such calls use the full international format. E.g. to call a UK landline number from any country use (for example) +44 207 222 1234.

What is an eSIM?

eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.

eSIM Advantages

Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.

Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.

eSIM Disadvantages

Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
Transfer of eSIM: Transfering an eSIM from one phone to another is usually not possible. However some eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.

Checking if your phone has eSIM capability

Dail *#06#. If you see an EID number popup, it means your phone has eSIM capability.

Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code

Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM

iPhone XR, XS and newer

Go to Settings, then Cellular.
Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.

2021 Android and newer

Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
Tap Add mobile plan
Tap Add using QR code
Scan the QR activation code

Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification

T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#. Click here to know why IMEI and EID numbers are needed.

TSIM International SIM – Disappointing Experience & No Support

Extremely disappointed with TSIM’s service and customer support.

I purchased 3 SIM cards from TSIM for my Europe trip (Order #1369587). One of them — a data-only SIM — was completely non-functional in Greece. Despite following every suggested step (data roaming, APN, handset swaps), it never worked.

Worse still, their customer support was shockingly unresponsive. Messages were answered after hours — sometimes an entire day — with no actionable help. During a critical time abroad, this caused immense inconvenience and stress. I had to fall back on costly Airtel international roaming, defeating the purpose of a travel SIM.

I’ve sent multiple follow-ups, shared proof (including roaming bills), and requested a basic partial refund of ₹1,089, but have received no response for over a week.

TSIM clearly does not prioritize post-sales support or customer satisfaction. If you’re considering them for international travel — think twice. A failed SIM overseas is not just a tech issue — it’s a serious trust issue.

We had been to Norway, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium and UK and at all these places we got excellent coverage in both calls and data

Also a Tsim person was available online on chat to help us , initially we faced some issues as the esim sent by them did not have the correct QR code.

The calls to India required a call to UK number and then dialling an Indian number. This causes a little trouble as we need to remember or write down the Indian number in order to type it out. So it would be better to take the option with direct dialing in to India.

Extremely Disappointed – Calling Feature Completely Non-Functional

I purchased two T-SIMs for myself and my wife for our Europe trip, expecting seamless connectivity during our travels across Paris, Switzerland, and Venice. Unfortunately, the SIMs failed to deliver even the most basic function – making phone calls.

We were not able to make a single call, whether it was to local numbers like hotel receptions or from one T-SIM number to the other. Every time we tried, the call would not connect at all — after a few seconds, the only thing that happened was a missed call alert on the recipient’s phone. That’s it – no ringing, no talking, no connection.

The data/internet worked fine, but the calling feature – which was a key reason we bought these SIMs – was completely useless. I tried in different countries and at different times, but it never worked even once.

This was not just inconvenient – it was frustrating and a total waste of money. I strongly advise others not to purchase T-SIM if you need reliable calling service during your travels. I am now seeking a full refund for both SIM cards, as the product did not function as advertised.

The Sim works very well, but three issues should be resolved,
1. the activation takes a long time even for an esim – it should be almost instantly
2. If i give the activation date XX it shuld be activated on the morning of that date alomst at 00:01 hours so the sim can be used the entirew day, usually the sim gets activate at the end of day which does not make sense and you can specify a minimum advance notice you need to activate if i i order 2 weeks in advance with activation date – activating on the night of activation date makes no sense & is also a waste of one day ou of the plan period,
3. There should be a facility to recharge the sim in case one runs out of the package within the time frame

Workign wise it largely worked well, except in Paris where the network was sketchy many times

Physical sim card was delivered promptly, however, is does not come with any instructions. Sim pin is sent by email one day before activation date of the sim card, so this physical sim should not be installed in the phone before you receive pin. It is better to instal sim card after arrival at destination country. All these details are not mentioned anywhere. Company should improve on activation and installation of their products.
However, the card worked wonderfully everywhere and I would strongly recommend TSim.

I could not make any Indian calls as the whole procedure of making calls to India is very cumbersome and was not successful even with several trys . This was not the procedure earlier with TSIM .Otherwise it was absolutely good in making calls into Europe or for data purpose , also hot spot was good to connect the laptop.
Customer service was prompt and responsive . Prices are higher compared to local sims available in any country .
